For this SLC I will be following the option 1 guidline
Humanities
Humanities is a lot of fun for me because I get to learn about the world in a unique way. Instead of focusing on a countries history or current political position, the class focuses on the country's culture. This lets me get a feel for the country and what it's like, along with knowing its history.
I feel my main strength for this class is that I have good reading comprehension as evident by my shogun annotations

Summary: After some time raiding and pillaging the americas, the ship erasmus attempts to circumnavigate the globe, but the end up marooned in japan. Blackthorne, the ship’s pilot, is given special quarters and all are treated with respect, but the local priests and the head samurai, omi, give them a hard time. The daimyo is called to decide the crew's fate and after a failed attempt to recover the records of their pillaging, Blackthorne returns to his crew and they discuss the possibility of escape. When Blackthorne returns to his guest house he gets in a fight with the head of the house, mura, because he doesn't want to take a bath. Mura paralyzes the captain, and proves that even without weapons the Japanese are a force to be reckoned with.
One thing I can improve on in humanities is being able to read faster. The shogun annotation above, for example, took around 4 hours to read, I should learn to read faster while still retaining information so that I don't have to work for as long as I am now. I can achieve this goal by timing how long it takes me to read one page of a book, and then trying to lower my time on the next page.

- there is food by his bed and he doesn't know how it got there but he is hungry so he eats

- there is a war coming, but mura doesn't care who will win because he thinks it will degrade to total anarchy. he was beginning to like peace though..

Math
My favorite thing about math class is that the problems Dr Cate gives us are always complex and though provoking. Even if the problem itself is not vey difficult, there is always a challenge option that will be sure to make you think. I feel my strength in math class is sticking to problems until I finish them. Some evidence for this is my work on problem 11. Even though the problem was really difficult and I got the wrong answer several times, I stuck with it until I eventually found the correct answer.
One weakness I have in math is my lack of knowing the proper terms for things in class. These faults can be seen in the above problem as during my answer I never mention the commutative or associative properties even though I use them often. For the above problem that isn't to big of a deal, but if I want to explain a problem, or am solving a problem where the properties I use aren't immediately apparent, the issue become a bit more annoying. I am already in the process of solving this problem, by silently noting what properties I use when I solve a problem and googling the ones that I find I don't know, I have already learned the names of several properties, I already sort-of knew what they were called, but this exercise helps keep the information fresh (at least the properties that I use often)

Spanish
My favorite thing about Spanish class is using the things I've learned in the real world. Just a few weeks ago my grandfather was celebrating his birthday, and since his native language is Spanish I wrote his birthday card in Spanish. I feel my greatest strength in Spanish class is not being afraid to ask for help. This is super helpful in Spanish class because Spanish dictionaries don't help with the order of words and google translate is a very unreliable source. The only source you can really rely on in Spanish is people. Some evidence is how, through asking for help, I was able to go from a backwards sounding script to a proper script.

My biggest weakness in Spanish class is very related to my strength. While I do ask for help often, I tend to go to Mr. Dunn as my first option, I can imagine that would be very annoying so In the future I will ask my peers first.

Study habits and behavior
In general, I like to think my study habits are pretty good, I worked all through middle school to get them where they are: I always put homework before recreation, but I try not to get stressed out because I won't be ass efficient then. If I have a long project, I split it up into little bits, but generally shoot to finish the project a few days to a week before it is due. I rarely meet these deadline, but in doing so I reach the actual secret deadline that allows me to finish the project on time, if that makes any sense.
I feel my classroom behavior is very good, I try to leave non-school activities outside the class room and do as much work as I can in class (otherwise my study habit wouldn't work).
