Spirit Animal
For this art piece we were told to create a picture of an animal we felt symbolized us.
Artist statement
South American Tunnel Alpaca
by Nicholas Jennings
I chose the South American Tunnel Alpaca, or SATA for short, as my spirit animal they help me remember that the world is an exciting place. Although there is no proof of the existence of SATA’s existence, you still have to believe in them because there also isn’t any proof that they don’t exist. Furthermore, I find the type of person who would believe that there is proof and that the government is hiding it away very entertaining, which is why the art piece is black & white, like some piece of evidence you would expect to find in the X-files. I think believing in the extraordinary is an important part keeping your sanity, so we should all believe that the SATA is real.
